About Kris
My first degree at University was BSc Computer and Digital Forensics (Ethical Hacking), but my forte is in C# Programming. Additionally I hold two law degrees and have written a book on the Law relating to AI. I have 3 years experience in (concealed information) Core Web Development, and 12 years experience in C#. I also hold a BTEC qualification in Games Programming. I am happy to teach beginner through to intermediate level. I have valid DBS and am happy to teach all ages (7 and up). Software and Hardware requirements for any teaching apply. You should check that your PC is able to run Visual Studio. Please don't hesitate to contact me, all rates are negotiable.

Beginner Lessons: As a beginner, it's important to develop a fundamental understanding of concepts, so the majority of beginner lessons will be made up of theory:practice at ratio of 2:1. Topics covered at beginner level will include topics such as Types, Access methods and Object Orientation. All beginner lessons are taught in Console Applications. Intermediate Lessons: If you have some experience in coding in another language, or would prefer a more practical approach, Intermediate lessons will be taught with loose structure. This means that lessons will seem more like a conversation, the student will be responsible for raising questions about topics that interest them and these will guide teaching. Some understanding of concepts is expected of Intermediate level coders, so if you don't know what a boolean is then you may struggle. As a minimum, you should have a grasp of OOP concepts including: Abstraction, Encapsulation, Inheritance and Polymorphism.

I’ve knew Kris 3 years and the main reason we have bonded so well is because of the progressive conversations we’ve enjoyed together. Quite literally every time we see each other, our time together will range from him educating me on WW2 trivia to prospective AI advancements. I can honestly say with no bias that he is a well-versed, patient teacher who if you choose to donate your time to, will reap the benefits from his teaching. He will make sure not to belittle you if you are somewhat uneducated on the subject which I personally believe to be the most imperative virtue of a teacher and can break down topics down into digestible pieces of information. Overall, I would highly recommend his service if you are considering a tutor.
Kris is a kind and understanding teacher he helped me draft my personal statement to get into uni, as I was struggling with the wording of things with me having dyslexia and aspergers, he has a lot of patience and is very adaptable in his methods of teaching for people with ASD
I met Kris a couple of years ago when he started helping me with my university work. Kris is very patient and is great at finding simple analogies to help people understand what at first may be unclear.
I was so impressed with the vast amount of knowledge Kris has across so many areas, but especially regarding Law. His structured essay writing and ability to view an argument from all sides amazed me and were key to me developing my essays to get those higher grades and thinking much deeper about what the question is really looking for.
I know Kris has helped many people over the past to raise their grades and he will continue to help people achieve their best as he is as determined as he is passionate in his approach. When it comes to law, Kris knows his stuff. Understanding the fundamentals of law and its functionity isn't easy but Kris manages to break it down into bite size chunks and explain it clearly. Definitely recommend.
Kris is a polymath, he will teach you anything and everything with expert comprehension.
