About David
I believe that saxophone teaching is most effective when it combines strong technical foundations with an emphasis on creative expression. My lessons are tailored to each student’s unique needs, whether they’re starting as beginners or working toward more advanced levels of playing. The focus of my teaching is to first establish key foundational skills, such as breath control, tone production, and finger technique. Once these elements are mastered, I guide students through more complex aspects of saxophone playing, including articulation, phrasing, and rhythm. I also place a strong emphasis on improvisation, as it allows students to explore their creativity and develop their own musical voice. By incorporating real songs, exercises, and fun challenges into each lesson, I ensure that students remain engaged and motivated throughout their learning process. I provide regular feedback and support, helping students overcome obstacles and keep progressing at their own pace. Whether students are preparing for a performance, an exam, or just playing for fun, I create a positive, encouraging environment where they feel inspired to keep learning.

In my saxophone lessons, I focus on creating a well-rounded musical experience that is tailored to each student's needs. I believe in the importance of both solid technique and personal expression, and I work to build a foundation of skills that will support students in their musical journey.
Whether you're just starting out or have been playing for years, I focus on breath control, tone production, articulation, and other fundamentals to help you improve your sound and playing technique. Beyond the basics, I integrate rhythm exercises, improvisation, and music theory to help students become more confident and expressive musicians. I love to incorporate a variety of musical genres into my lessons, from jazz and blues to classical and contemporary, so students can experience the full spectrum of musical possibilities. Whether you're looking to perform, audition, or just play for fun, my lessons are designed to help you achieve your goals while enjoying the process.
