About Leonor
I am a violist, with a Bachelor's Degree (Lisbon Superior School of Music) and two Masters in Performance (Superior School of Music and Performing Arts) and Chamber Music (Royal Conservatory of Antwerp). I reconcile permanent activity as an orchestra musician with private lessons, bringing together the best of both worlds.

I believe that our work as teachers and educators in the field of music is essentially focused on developing a critical sense and guiding the process of discovering different musical aesthetics. I believe that the main objective of any teacher is rather then have their students pursue a career as musicians but, in the best of cases, turn them into future public for several concerts. And since any instrumental practice starts with our ability to listen and analyze what we do on the instrument, training the ear is a basic necessary tool. In the end that is my absolute biggest motivation: pass on to others what music is capable of communicating to me. To me and to anyone who is willing to truly listen.
