About Kaykeel
I was a liturgical dancer at my church, then placed into youth ballet, and jazz. I then joined dance and drama in school and went to join the all-stars dance team in Los Angeles, California. Create a dance team in middle school which had a team of around 30 dancers. I joined Debbie Allen's Dance Academy and trained in HipHop, Jazz, Modern, and Ballet. Traveled for a summer back and fourth to Pasadena to take a summer intensive in many styles of dance before deciding on my major.
My dance home was University of NC at Greensboro. I have a B.F.A in Performance and Choreography with a K-12 Licensure and a minor in African American Studies. I went to Italy for a Summer session, study abroad and performed in Italy. Then drove cross country to L.A. to take classes at Playground LA, and other studios that began training in commercial dance. After returning, I graduated and became a substitute teacher in as many schools in one district as I could before I accepted my first teaching position in Durham, NC.
I had to resign due to lack of equity and COVID requirements being too aggressive. During the pandemic it made me reach into my entrepreneur side, which is why I am here today. I am tutoring you for the fund to open up my very own dance studio!

Kaykeel Dillard for the lack of better words is an extraordinary person during our two years of friendship I’ve come to realize She is caring and a very great listener. She loves the worlds youth and only wishes to help all those around. A peaceful calm soul who was made for teacher because of her nurturing ways. She easily adapts to her environment as I’ve seen her make out of many a situation that would’ve left some of us overwhelmed yet she prevailed as if it were an ordinary day. I believe teaching was her calling as that’s all she talks about. Teaching the youth to release problems through dance.
Kaykeel is a patient and kindhearted teacher. She provides clear instruction and well planned lessons for my private lessons. She is knowledgeable of several dance styles but ensured I was being pushed to my greatest potential.
