About Kyle
I hold a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington. My research focus was on the strategies students use in mathematics courses to aid in the transition from high school to college-level mathematics courses. I have a decade of formal teaching experience. I now work as a data analyst using my mathematics background to solve complex problems.

I believe in collaborate learning environments, in my lessons and one-on-one interactions with students I work to ask clarifying questions to help students understand the concepts. I use active learning approaches to facilitate deeper learning and understanding of the material, rather than memorization. I have worked primarily with high school students and undergraduate mathematics students in courses from algebra to upper level calculus as well as advanced geometry courses.
