About Lydia
"With over 8 years of experience teaching piano, I’ve had the opportunity to work with around thousands of students, including high school and college students, as well as adult learners. Each student comes with their own story, and I believe every lesson should be shaped around their goals and learning style. My teaching style is built on three simple things: patience, encouragement, and clarity. I help students feel comfortable from day one. Whether someone is a complete beginner or returning to piano after a break, I guide them step by step, making sure they understand the basics before moving forward. One of my proudest moments was helping a student who thought they had no musical talent play their first full piece within a month. That’s what makes teaching piano special—it helps people discover what they’re capable of. Lessons with me are never one-size-fits-all. I adjust the material based on what students enjoy and how they learn best. My goal is always to make piano fun, meaningful, and something students feel proud of."

"Learning piano is a beautiful journey — and my teaching method is designed to make that journey rewarding and personal. I teach using Compassion, Integrity, and Adaptability, because I believe every student deserves support, honesty, and a method that fits them. With compassion, I understand that students may feel nervous or unsure when learning a new piece or technique. I never rush anyone. Instead, I listen carefully, offer patient guidance, and celebrate small wins to build confidence and joy in playing. Integrity is central to how I teach. I’m always clear and honest about your progress. I take the time to explain why we’re doing certain exercises and how they connect to your goals — whether that’s reading sheet music, learning by ear, or mastering a favorite song. Adaptability allows me to adjust each lesson to match your pace, interests, and learning style. Some students learn best by ear, others need visual cues, and some prefer structured theory. I adjust to what works best for you. Every lesson is flexible and designed around your personal music journey. Beyond technique and theory, I include real-life applications — from understanding music in popular songs to composing your own melodies. My goal is not just to teach piano but to help you build a lifelong connection with music."
