About Emma
My teaching method is built on Communication, Empathy, and Positivity. I believe every student learns in their own way, so I take time to listen, understand their goals, and adjust my lessons to fit their needs. I make sure students feel heard and supported, creating a space where they’re not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. Clear, step-by-step guidance helps them build confidence, while open communication ensures we stay on the same page every step of the way. I always bring a positive and encouraging attitude to my lessons. Learning piano should be a joyful and rewarding experience, not a stressful one. I celebrate small wins and help students overcome challenges with patience and care. Besides piano, I also teach music theory, composition, and performance skills, making sure students get a complete musical foundation. My goal is to help them grow both as musicians and individuals, one note at a time.

With over 10 years of experience in teaching piano, I’ve had the joy of helping around 300 high school and college students grow into confident and expressive musicians. My passion for education comes from a deep love for music and the belief that everyone has the ability to learn and create something beautiful. I focus on helping students build strong foundations in technique, theory, and performance while also encouraging creativity and emotional expression through music. Whether it's preparing for a recital, an exam, or simply learning a favourite song, I guide each student with care and attention to their unique goals. Throughout my journey as a piano tutor, I’ve reached many proud milestones—seeing students pass grade exams with high scores, perform on stage for the first time, and even pursue music at a professional level. These moments remind me why I teach: to inspire growth, confidence, and joy through music. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore their creativity, and enjoy the process of learning. Teaching piano isn’t just about playing notes—it’s about helping students connect with music on a deeper level and achieve something they can be truly proud of.
