About Robert
I have many years of experience tutoring at all levels I offer. I receive regular positive feedback and have led many students onto success. Graduating with a First Class Physics degree from Cambridge and coming to the end of a Particle Physics PhD at UCL, I’m equipped with all the tools to offer exceptionally high-quality tutoring to students.
Whilst teaching provides me with a means to generate extra income during my PhD, I greatly enjoy it and the rewards that come from seeing students ‘get’ a concept properly for the first time. You’ll find me engaged, passionate and hard-working, as well as extremely flexible to meet whatever style of teaching works best.

My approach to lessons is very flexible, to meet the needs of individual students.
For A-level tutoring, typically I’ll structure some sessions as interactive teaching sessions, to clarify aspects of the content the student struggles most with. I’ll then have some sessions covering exam questions on those topics, cementing their understanding. Closer to the exam I’ll have some sessions tackling tough past exam questions on all topics to prepare students for maximal success in their exam.
For admissions tutoring, I’ll put the student through tough interview-style questions on a range of topics that may come up, drawing on my experience studying Physics at Cambridge as well as teaching Physics and Maths to undergraduates during my PhD.
