About Yoelkys
I am a MD/PhD student who is also first generation college student. In college I studied biochemistry and went on to complete my my PhD in microbiology. Ever since I was in college I was able to help my peers and work with kids in high school by tutoring. During graduate school I have been involved with a local high school to guide people through AP courses and to help students entering college feel ready for the entry level college science classes. I have many years of experience working with people in different parts of their life and would utilize this experience to help you get the most of it.

We will spend the first one or two meeting to try and under the level of knowledge you currently have and what skills are most important for you to learn. From there we will design a syllabus that meets those needs and covers the topics most important to you while reviewing and building on the strengths you already have. If you have homework assigned already we will incorporate that into our lessons or I may assign homework to help build on the things we covered. I'm also available for reviewing essays and lab reports
