About Jordan
If you can't tell, I really love chemistry! I have a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Chemistry from Bellarmine University, and now a M.S. in Biochemistry from Vanderbilt, and am working on my PhD! I'm young (and hopefully cool), and understand the struggles of getting a chemistry or natural sciences degree firsthand, as I was in your shoes only a few short years ago. And, if chemistry isn't your thing and you just want to grit your teeth and bear through it, I understand that too; we can get through it together as painlessly as possible!

Chemistry doesn't have to be a drag of a subject. It's full of patterns, and built on a logical framework that once you have mastered, you can use intuition and your "chemical sense" to tackle any problem, big or small!
I'm able to help with foundational chemistry (general, Advanced Placement, Intro Chem, Organic Chem, Biochem, etc.) in high school and early college, through advanced chemistry (Advanced Biochem/Organic Chem, Inorganic Chem, Physical Chem, Analytical Chem, etc.) in late college and beyond.
My teaching style relies on explaining the world each of us experience every day in chemical terms. We all make iced tea, so let's talk about equilibrium constants; we all deal with rusty bike wheels, so let's talk about oxidation! Relating chemical concepts (and those annoying equations) to physical phenomenon grounds your knowledge in the real world, taking chemistry from abstract and bothersome to insightful and tangible.
