About Andreas
I am a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Theory (University of Exeter) and have considerable experience teaching and grading essays and exams at all academic levels. Over the years, I have offered private tuition to students of the most diverse backgrounds at various leading UK universities (London School of Economics, Warwick University, University College London, Edinburgh University, Queen Mary University). My academic background is in International Relations and Political Theory, and my specialism is in post-structuralism and democratic theory. I graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BSc Econ (Hons) degree in International Politics and International History; and from the University of Exeter with an MA in Critical Global Politics from the University of Exeter. My Doctoral thesis was on the broad subject of democratic societal reconfiguration and social movements. Since 2012, I have been teaching Politics and IR at Levels 3-8 (UG Foundation Year 0, Year 1 to Year 3 and PG - Masters Level, as well as PhD/PGR Level in UK Higher Education). Since 2014, I have also worked as private tutor, working with UG and PG students of Politics and/or IR helping them with their course and individual modules, essays, and dissertations. Since 2022, I have been working as Research Assistant at a HE institute in the UK, as well as a UG dissertation supervisor. I can help with just about any subject in IR/Politics - and also the intersection between politics, philosophy and history. I have taught subjects including Economics for students of politics and IR, British politics, international relations theory, political philosophy, security studies, global governance, global political challenges, classical political thought, early modern political thought, and comparative politics. I have also successfully tutored pupils with A-levels, as well as American pupils in AP World History, AP US History, and AP Psychology. I am happy to tutor students of all backgrounds and nationalities, and work particularly well with international students who seek to understand the British academic system. I currently work with students of all levels, and my clients at present include students in Year 1 UG, to a PhD student in comparative politics.

You are buying 1 hour of teaching tuition with me on any subject in Politics and International Relations, at any Undergraduate Level. The price you pay is fully inclusive of everything, including my own preparation, creating teaching materials as necessary, preparing reading lists, and follow-up emails. I am happy to support university undergraduate students in Politics, International Relations, History, Philosophy, and PPE, but also pupils doing IB, GCSE and A-Levels on these topics. I also offer preparatory tutorials for students who will be starting University from next year, and who need support to get a head start with their studies. We can structure these lessons in a number of ways, from a single one-off session all the way up to year-long or semester-based teaching plans, including monitoring performance and setting academic targets for success.
