About Megan
I love composing and hearing new works by emerging composers! I want to help you achieve your goals and expand your musical techniques, compositional voice and develop a convincing and unique aesthetic.
I am a professional composer, working regularly with solo performers and ensembles as well as for film and radio. My work has been performed across the UK, Europe and USA.
I have worked with young people of all ages in education, from 0 to 25, and also have experience with:
- Children with SEN/D
- Adults with disabilities
- Children with autism
- Young people with refugee/asylum seeker status

You can bring any stage of a composition to me to get feedback, learn techniques and build your knowledge of instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, harmony, melody and rhythm. We will listen to other music and look at examples of scores that will teach you new ways of approaching your composition.
A typical lesson is 45-50 minutes and you may be any age or experience level, this may be of particular interest to GCSE, A Level students and undergraduate students.
I have experience teaching composition to undergraduate and postgraduate university students, including at Royal Academy of Music. I work regularly with composers to develop their works and have been teaching privately for several years.
