About James
My name is James Watson, I am 19 and studying environmental science and management at uni. Why? Because I love the feeling of helping people, flora or fauna. I consider myself to be quite gifted when it comes to putting pen to paper, but acknowledge that not everyone possesses these gifts. Combining these two traits makes me want to tutor people. School is a fantastic time to be alive, and should be spent just as equally enjoying yourself as studying for tests and exams. Thus I want to help students and make their school experience as enjoyable as possible.

Gday! I have two focuses for my tutoring: Focusing on the most problematic areas for students, and trying to empathise with my pupils, or put myself in their shoes. I break my lessons down into a review of what we’ve learnt (homework/tests/questions), then break down problem areas that have arisen throughout the week, finishing with some practice problems for the student to attempt on their own, should they feel comfortable enough. My typical lessons are 1 hour long, and I would aim for 2 lessons per week, depending on how in need students are and their availability.I have 2 years experience as a math tutor teaching year 11 methods and applications, and years 7-10 mathematics.
