  • Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak this language fluently because of my origins. Also, I was born and raised in Egypt. All my educational journey was in Arabic.
  • Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

The Holy Quran is the fundamental symbol of the culture of language. As Allah says in Surah Ash-Shu'ara, it was revealed in clear Arabic. The Holy Quran is the word of Allah, and Muslims view it as a revelation from Allah and many consider it the supreme masterpiece of Arabic literature. It has had a great influence on the Arabic language.
  • Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

The greeting of peace (السلام عليكم) because it carries many meanings of security, mercy and goodness among people.
  • Why does speaking this language matter to you?

It is the language of Islam because there is more than 20 countries around the world speaking it. It's also a very valuable language.
  • What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

First, let's agree that any language is difficult at the beginning, but with practice it becomes very easy. Second: In my opinion, the most difficult thing is the abundance of vocabulary in the Arabic language, so the learner needs to know a lot of vocabulary and practice it, and with time it will become easy.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

One of my favorite things was learning languages, especially English. I used to practice it and visit tourist places to see who spoke it. I remember when I was young I used to love my English teacher just because he taught it to me.
  • How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Of course, traveling strengthens my knowledge of the language, but I have not traveled outside my country. However, due to the nature of my work as an Arabic language teacher for non-native speakers, or because I am a researcher at Al-Azhar University, I used to meet many foreigners, so I speak with them in English, and this strengthens my language and knowledge of dialects.
  • What makes you a Superprof in language?

There are many reasons that make me a superprof in teaching Arabic. The Quran, as I have memorised the entire Quran, and it is considered the most eloquent book in the Arabic language. Patience and passion are essential in dealing with my students, because I put myself in their place, so I am patient when I teach them, and I am passionate about teaching them in the best way. My previous experience, as I taught for more than thousands of hours and to many students from different countries.
