About Andrew
My name is Andrew. I have been working as a multimedia designer (in the EST time zone) for over 12 years and have an advanced diploma for graphic design at the college level as well.
Throughout my career, I have done work for recognizable brands as well as many startups, mid-size companies and have operated my own motion graphic business. In this regard, I have a wide range of experience for you to benefit from and I'm happy to share it with you.
Some examples of brands I have helped one way or another are: Tim Hortons, Cineplex Digital Media, Gordon Ramsay, Fit4Less and more.
My goal with you is to provide you with the guidance and mentorship that I didn't have when I could have used it while at the same time providing better technical instruction than I did have.

If you're interested in making a livable career from your passion for the arts, you have options, and I can help you either develop essential skills or simply help scout the journey ahead.
Here's a list of software I can help you learn: Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, Rizom UV, Aseprite and to a lesser degree, Unreal Engine, Substance Designer, Figma, Microsoft Office, OBS, Affinity - Photo, Designer and Publisher.
As the arts require passion and high-quality creation, my goal is to fuel your fire by taking direction from your goals. If you feel aimless, I can provide more structure, but either way, you will be learning a lot with me about the technical, creative, and business aspects of an artistic career.
One thing I'm sure many of you are wondering is if you need to be able to draw to have a successful career in the digital arts. The answer is not at all, but it does help.
The other concern I'm sure many of you have is around AI. While I can't predict what AI will actually do in the artistic careers, I can say, until AI is art directable, mistake-free and consistent, we'll still have jobs to apply for.
If you can reach out with questions, feel free to do so. There are no surprise fees with me.

Andrew's thirst for knowledge and commitment to quality has resulted in an incredibly talented artist and an even better mentor. Andrew and I have been working together for about 3 years now and one of the biggest thing that sets him apart is that he doesn't take shortcuts. When a problem arises his solution isn't *just* fixing the problem; it's identifying why, how, what to do to avoid it in the future, etc. If my time knowing him is any indication, you can expect thorough explanations, in-depth feedback, and just a dependable quality guy. Highly recommend!

Software licensing/subscription or purchase otherwise will be between the student and the software provider. As much as I would like to provide a license, I cannot. There is student licensing for most software which is typically much cheaper, and may be worth looking into. Otherwise, some situations don't require paid software, and we can explore those situations if need be. For example, Blender is free.
