About Eric

A Postgraduate Data Scientist from Coventry University, knowledge in big data analysis, studying the behaviour of data and products to model data insights. Experienced in Computer sciences, looking to tutor from A-level to lower stages. Personally, when I teach I want it to be fun and enjoyable, that makes it better for the student and for me as well, a happy student makes a happy tutor!

About the lesson

My teaching method is I base my classes on the following; I ask open-ended questions. By posing questions that require more than a yes/no response, I try and encourage my students to start thinking. Importantly, I like to gauge my student's comprehension on any topic as I teach, this allows me to know they understand what it's been said. I use positive reinforcement, it allows my tutees to notice their successes as well as their mistakes, for I try to strive for progress, not perfection. Finally, I let my tutees do the work because by allowing the tutees to have control of the process, you encourage independent learning and help the tutees gain confidence in their own ability and an awareness of their learning styles. I tutor anywhere from Primary school level up to A-levels or college.
