About Kyra

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and hold an MSc in Chemistry. My passion lies in helping students not only master core chemistry concepts but also appreciate the role of science in building a sustainable future. Over the years, I have worked with learners at different levels, guiding them to see how chemistry connects to the environment and society. I focus strongly on green chemistry and sustainable synthesis. In my sessions, students learn about atom economy, catalysis, solvent-free reactions, and waste reduction strategies. I break these ideas into simple steps and real-world examples so learners can see how eco-friendly chemistry is both practical and innovative. I encourage students to think critically about the environmental impact of chemical processes. By exploring greener alternatives, they learn how to design reactions and systems that minimize harm while maximizing efficiency. This not only strengthens their academic understanding but also inspires responsible practices they can carry into research, industry, or higher studies. My teaching style combines clear explanations, interactive discussions, and problem-solving exercises. I believe every student can succeed with the right support, and I tailor lessons to their pace and goals. Many of my students have grown more confident in their ability to approach complex chemistry problems while also recognizing the importance of sustainable science. My goal is to foster both knowledge and responsibility—helping learners become innovative thinkers who care about the world around them. Together, we can make chemistry a force for a healthier planet.

My teaching approach in Chemistry focuses on making concepts clear, practical, and problem-solving oriented. I believe that Chemistry is best learned when students can connect theory to real-life applications. This is why I emphasize topics like acid-base chemistry, pH calculations, titration methods, and buffer solutions with hands-on examples and step-by-step guidance. I design lessons that not only cover the basics but also highlight how these principles are used in laboratories, industry, and daily life. By showing practical applications, I help learners understand why each concept matters and how to use it effectively. For students preparing for exams or assignments, I provide structured practice with a focus on chemical equilibrium and related problem-solving strategies. I also guide research-oriented learners and Olympiad contestants, helping them refine their approach to advanced topics and challenging questions. Flexibility is an important part of my methodology. I adjust the pace of teaching to match the student’s needs, ensuring they feel supported while steadily improving. I encourage active participation, where students solve problems during sessions and gain immediate feedback to build confidence. Positive reinforcement is central to my approach, as it helps reduce anxiety and motivates learners to tackle even the most complex calculations. Step by step, students begin to see Chemistry as logical and manageable rather than overwhelming. My goal is to support every learner in excelling, not only in academics but also in building a deeper understanding of Chemistry as a powerful and useful science.
