About Yusuf
I have taught math at various universities in and out of the Boston area for more than 15 years, and I have also tutored students individually. Some have placed into more advanced courses than they hired me to help them place into, and others have passed required courses with my help despite not having taken any math for years beforehand.

Before starting any tutoring in earnest, I will have a brief chat with you to learn about your background and goals, so that I can utilize your existing strengths and inclinations. The other preliminary step I will take is to learn the notation, terminology and heavily emphasized topics of the course you need help with, in order to make the best use of our time. During our tutoring sessions, I will patiently assign problems to assess and gradually expand your comfort level with the given topic.
