About Blaire
Hi! I'm a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Diploma in Classical Violin. While I’m deeply rooted in classical training, my true passion lies in exploring the violin across genres like Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop Strings, and World Music. I love pushing boundaries and showing students how versatile the violin can be. In my lessons, we dive into improvisation, use looping pedals, and experiment with tone, rhythm, and texture. I guide students in writing their own solos and reimagining popular songs for violin. Creativity is at the heart of my teaching. Whether you’re jamming to a beat, layering loops, or crafting a new sound, I help you make the violin your own. I encourage curiosity and bold musical choices. My goal is to make each lesson inspiring, fun, and filled with fresh ideas. We’ll build technique and confidence while also learning how to express your unique musical voice. My violin teaching approach centers on physical ease, mental clarity, and musical flow. I help students develop body awareness through posture, breathing, and gentle movement. Each lesson blends structure with creativity, encouraging both discipline and joy. I pay close attention to building healthy practice habits that support long-term progress and prevent strain. Whether a student thrives through emotional safety, imaginative learning, or strong goal-setting, I adapt to their unique strengths. My lessons are a calm and welcoming space where students can explore, ask questions, and grow without pressure. Together, we shape a learning rhythm that feels focused yet playful. With care and encouragement, I help each violinist find both technical skill and musical voice.
