About Nora
My teaching approach blends strong technical training with creativity, expression, and a deep understanding of music. I guide students through the foundations of piano technique while also exploring composition basics, music storytelling, harmonic analysis, and emotional touch. Lessons are designed to build solid skills while encouraging personal interpretation and style. I create a supportive environment where students can develop confidence in both performance and self-expression. We work on refining tone, phrasing, and touch to bring out the full character of each piece. For those interested in jazz, we explore improvisation, rhythmic freedom, and harmonic color. For students who enjoy classical repertoire, we focus on precision, structure, and stylistic authenticity. Every lesson balances technical exercises with creative exploration. I use listening, analysis, and guided practice to help students connect deeply with their music. We also discuss how to tell a story through sound, using dynamics, tempo, and articulation to shape the listener’s experience.

With 8 years of dedicated teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, I bring both technical expertise and a deep understanding of the human side of learning music. My approach blends traditional piano instruction with mindfulness and relaxation techniques, creating a calm space for growth. I believe music should nourish the mind and body as much as it refines skill.
In lessons, we focus on posture, breath, and presence, helping students connect with their instrument in a grounded way. I work closely with learners to manage stage anxiety, replacing nervous tension with confidence and clarity. Each session is paced to allow thoughtful exploration, free from the pressure of rushing.
I see piano as a powerful tool for wellness and self-expression. My gentle encouragement and patient guidance invite students to enjoy the process as much as the progress.
