About Luc
Currently preparing to pass the "agregation" exam in philosophy at La Sorbonne University, after a Bac L mention "Very good", two years of Preparatory Classes for High Schools (CPGE) in Paris and three years in university, I have been tutoring in philosophy for three years, alone or in an agency (notably with Complétude), I tutor children who experience difficulties in their schools due to language barrier and I give French language lessons to elderly people of foreign origin, both trough volunteering for an agency. Also volunteering, I had the opportunity to give courses for social reintegration to people charged with TIG (community work). Finally, I was able to give courses meant to introduce students to philosophy to classes at Claude Monet highschool (6th, 3rd, and all high school classes) during a 3-month internship with a teacher in 2019.

My experience with students of all ages has made me understand that it is essential to first create a bond of reciprocity, listening and care with the student, so that they can communicate about their difficulties, gaps or misunderstandings.
It is then a question of establishing a work plan according to said difficulties and the objective(s) of the current year : basis to be acquired, level to be obtained for the following year, exam (Bac, competitive examination for entries into schools, etc). Methodology is essential, as well as homework, which I think must be quick but effective: submitting introductions to write, or texts to read for next sessions, whether as part of the course or for their important place in the history of philosophy.
