About Fiona

My guitar teaching methodology centers on student-led exploration and clear goal-setting. I believe the best learning happens when you guide your own musical journey. Together, we set goals that excite you and fit your style. I focus on practical skills like jam session techniques, melodic phrasing, scale-matching, and developing a strong rhythmic groove. These help you play confidently with others and express your unique voice. For learners who thrive on self-direction, I provide the tools and space to experiment and create freely. I understand the deep emotional connection music brings. So, I encourage creative breakthroughs that spark passion and fresh ideas. Whether you’re driven by a desire to record original songs or to challenge the norms with your sound, my approach supports your personal style and goals.

About the lesson

I’m a passionate guitar teacher with over 4 years of experience and an Associate Degree in Guitar Performance. I love being part of community-based music programs, playing local gigs, and supporting school enrichment clubs. These experiences keep me connected to music and inspire my teaching every day.

There’s nothing more rewarding than guiding first-time learners as they nail their first chord, play their first solo, or step onto the stage for their first performance. My lessons are built around curiosity — encouraging you to explore and discover your own sound. I focus on connection, making sure every student feels supported and understood. Consistent encouragement is key, and I’m here to cheer you on every step of the way.
