About Evan
I am an Environmental Engineer who has been tutoring privately for a year. I have taught upwards of 50 students in a class room setting about tutored eight individually. I have received quite high marks on teaching evaluations for my time as a TA for a semester of college physics at Berkeley. As an Engineer I have practical experience using physical, chemical, and mathematics principles to design composting toilets and rainwater harvesting systems.

My main teaching methodology is to ground each lesson in practicality. This is my engineering tendency showing, but I believe it is the best way to keep students engaged. How is this skill useful, it the basic question I strive to answer in any lesson. I tutor mainly for high school and college students, but have also had experience teaching younger students.
