About Darcy

I grew up in China. Computer Science and Technology is my undergraduate major, and English has always been my strong subject. I love painting, watching movies, cooking, animation, sports. I have studied English for 12 years and passed the CET-4 and CET-6 in my sophomore year. And currently teaching a painting course in Chinese to an American student. About the lesson

Hello, my name is Darcy. I can teach Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing, teach Chinese painting, elementary school mathematics, and use English appropriately for communication in the classroom without any problems.And currently teaching a Chinese painting course to an American student. During my university vacation, I had a experience teaching English in primary school. I have a great passion for the traditional culture of our country. In addition to basic language teaching, I also intersperse teaching of Chinese culture in the classroom, allowing students to have a more concrete understanding of the entire China and helping them improve their Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills. In terms of teaching, I will use the following methods: 1. teacher-student dialogue: that is, I engage in dialogue exercises with students. There can be two situations here: one is to have a conversation with the students according to the original sentence of the text; Another way is for me to have a dialogue with students that does not follow the text. This form of dialogue has the same theme, but instead asks questions in a different way that deviates from the original sentence structure of the text. The difficulty of asking questions depends on the student's level, with higher levels being more difficult and lower levels being easier. 2. Teacher evaluation: refers to the accurate evaluation of students' conversations and readings. After pointing out the errors and having the students repeat the correct answers, I will rate them on a percentage basis. The stimulation of scores can arouse students' high attention and encourage them to prepare adequately before the conversation. Therefore, grading is only a means of stimulation, and the true purpose is to train students' ability to accurately engage in conversations in Chinese and judge right and wrong. Therefore, this form should be used when students are fully prepared in advance. 3. Live performance: Using props to imitate real life and engage in performance conversations. In teaching, students are very interested in this form because it is their real life experience and can be practical in real life. The students' extremely immersive performance has received practical training in communicative language. Finally, if I can still use traditional teaching methods, I can use original courseware in the classroom to perfectly combine teaching content and animation, allowing students to efficiently learn Chinese in a relaxed atmosphere.
