About Anthony
My name is Dr. Clementz and I will help facilitate instruction during the course. I thought I would tell you a little bit about me. I graduated with my Doctorate at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. My studies and publication is as a Molecular and Cellular Biochemist. I am a Protein Oncology Biochemist. At Loyola University Medical Center, I studied the biochemistry of Breast Cancer researching novel chemotherapeutics for dual treatment of triple negative breast cancers (they have no known targeted therapy to-date). I have traveled with my research earning many publications and presentations globally. After I graduated, I moved on to Northwestern University for my Post-Doctoral Studies. There I studied Pancreatic and Ovarian Cancers. I researched the process of Epithelial - to - Mesenchymal transition (Metastasis of tumors to other part of the body). Concurrently, I began my teaching career. I have taught at the University Level for over 15 years. Some courses I have taught are Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Organic Chemistry, Nutritional Chemistry, Food Science, Forensics, Environmental Biology, Drugs and Society, etc. As for nursing, I have taught EMT(s) and nurses in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. For several years I was also the co-coordinator of the Health and Nursing Sciences in the greater Chicagoland area, where I worked very closely with nursing students across several Chicagoland Nursing Schools. As for other fun facts, I am a graduate of Second City Sketch Comedy and iO! (Improv Olympics), where I performed comedy. I also love music (I play the piano, and I am a singer and actor) plus I love Baseball.
