About Tina
I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Violin. My approach to learning the violin is holistic and therapeutic, focusing on self-expression, emotional release, and musical storytelling. I believe the violin is more than an instrument—it is a way to connect with your inner voice and emotions. In my lessons, I incorporate improvisation, journaling, and soundscape creation to help students explore their personal musical journey. I have worked with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adult students seeking healing and growth through music. My aim is to create a safe, nurturing space where every student feels empowered to express themselves freely. Through guided exploration and reflective practice, students develop not only technical skill but also emotional resilience and creative confidence. Each session is tailored to individual needs, allowing learners to progress at their own pace while discovering their unique musical voice. I invite you to join me in experiencing the violin as a tool for connection, self-discovery, and emotional well-being. Together, we can turn music into a journey of healing and expression.

Every student’s journey on the violin is unique, and I guide each one with patience and care. I help learners overcome challenges like poor posture, weak intonation, and moments of low motivation, turning obstacles into stepping stones.
We start by building a strong foundation, focusing on bow hold correction, proper finger placement, and posture alignment. Scales become more than exercises—they are tools for discipline, intonation practice, and confidence-building. Students learn to connect technique with expression, exploring dynamics, phrasing, and musical storytelling.
I support those who thrive on structure by creating clear, achievable goals, while also encouraging expressive freedom for students who wish to convey emotion through their music. Lessons are designed to make progress visible, so even subtle improvements motivate continued growth.
Through guided improvisation, interpretation, and repertoire selection, learners discover their unique voice on the instrument. I help students gain confidence, whether performing solo, collaborating with others, or mastering challenging pieces quickly.
