Typical lessons in either sociology or political science are geared toward a wide range of students. For elementary and middle school students, my practices are informed by extensive experience tutoring younger children in civics-related subjects, and involve beginning periods wherein core concepts are introduced, followed by informative and useful interactive activities (such as games). For younger students, my lessons are distinguished by an ability to distill core concepts into ideas that are comprehensible through engaging activities. For high school and college students, my lessons are distinguished by my in-depth understanding of the subject matter. I teach older students utilizing both high-quality lectures and intellectually stimulating activities. My experience in U.S. Government internships, excellent academic record, and experience tutoring college students will enable a productive partnership. Classes for both age groups include: Introduction to Sociology, Sociological Theory, Political Science, U.S. Politics, Political Theory, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and U.S. History.
