About Amanda
Hello, my name is Amanda, and I am in my first year of University. I’m doing my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Psychology and I am loving it. In the future, I aspire to be a therapist in either a Spanish or Portuguese speaking country. At the moment, I aim to learn more about how I can offer a good quality service with my skills here on Preply. The reason why I want to teach Portuguese is because it is one of my favourite languages. It is a very beautiful and unique language. Likewise, it is my mother’s native language as she is Brazilian. I also grew up in Portugal and a few other countries and will be teaching Brazilian Portuguese as I have a Brazilian accent, however here and there, I will teach you some Portuguese phrases and words as it is naturally in my vocabulary, having lived there. Moreover, Portuguese is extremely useful to speak and understand as it is the 9th most spoken language and we have approximately 7,000 languages on Earth. Hello, my name is Amanda and languages are my passion. It is an amazing feeling and skill to know another language, which is why I would love to teach you. Do you want to be more confident in Portuguese? Perhaps Brazilian/Portuguese culture interests you? In our first session, I will ask you to describe what your goals are. Perhaps you are travelling to a Portuguese speaking country and need some common daily phrases? Or perhaps you need some knowledge of Portuguese for business/work purposes. Well, I have got you! My aim is to teach my students in a meaningful and positive way. For instance, if you like learning new words with flashcards, or want to read/ listen to stories, we can do these and more! Come and learn Portuguese with me and we can explore the language in a fun and interesting environment.
