About Anya
With over 4 years of teaching experience, I specialize in helping guitarists find both skill and creativity in their playing. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), which allows me to teach with both academic rigor and artistic flexibility. My lessons focus on compositional techniques, arranging for guitar, and original music creation. I emphasize harmony, melody, counterpoint, and how to record simple demos that showcase ideas. Every student has different goals, and I adapt my teaching to meet them. Beginners build confidence step by step, while advanced students refine their artistry and explore new creative paths. I teach guitar by blending practical playing with applied theory. My goal is to make scales, modes, and chord structures simple to understand and useful on the fretboard.
