• 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I speak Italian fluently because it is my native language and I grew up using it every day.

• 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  For me, Dante Alighieri represents Italian culture because he shaped the language with his poetry.

• 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

  I love the tradition of the long Italian family lunch on Sundays, with everyone talking, laughing and sharing homemade dishes.
  I also like the Italian word “magari”, because it expresses hope, desire and possibility all in one word—something very unique.

• 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  Because Italian is part of who I am, and teaching it allows me to share my culture and connect with people from all over the world.

• 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  The main difficulty is mastering verb conjugations and grammar structures. What helps is regular practice, listening to native speakers, and learning in context and practicing.

• 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  In high school, we had a language exchange with students from another country. Explaining my Italian expressions to them made me realise how rich and nuanced my language is. Later, visiting them in their country helped me understand their culture, habits and way of thinking. Those experiences taught me that language is deeply connected to culture — and that real conversations are one of the best ways to learn.

• 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  Living in different countries and learning new languages gave me a completely new perspective. It helped me understand what students go through when they start from zero, and it showed me how Italian differs from other languages in structure and rhythm. Thanks to these experiences, I can explain Italian more clearly and guide students with empathy and practical tips.

  I’m patient, clear, and passionate. I adapt every lesson to my students’ needs, and I make learning Italian practical, enjoyable and connected to real life.
