About Javi
I have worked the last 20 years as a multi-instrumentalist musician, arranger, producer, composer, sound technician in audiovisuals and in musical events. I have worked in documentaries, video games, radio and television. I have given music and radio workshops and classes. Throughout my career I have explored all fields of music and sound and I think that different styles and instruments have too many things in common. So the first step to play an instrument starts from understanding how a song is built, and what particularities each discipline has to know what is most interesting for the student. I teach guitar, bass, drums, piano accompaniment, singing, composition, and music production.

My methodology is simple. I think music should be learned as a personal exploration. Like any artistic discipline. My role is to give the student the tools and guide him on that journey, so that he is not afraid to try things, discover, draw his own conclusions and create his own style. To achieve this it is necessary to play songs, listen to them, and understand what is happening and realize that music is nothing more than a palette of 12 colors. For me, music is not about achieving excellence, but about enjoying every step we take along the way. It is an adventure that each person has to go through, and not an organized trip where the teacher tells you all the steps you have to take. The teacher has the function of preventing you from standing or getting lost, and suggesting the options you have.
