About Miles

I love working with beginners. With over 8 years of experience, I have taught many school kids, college learners, and professionals who started singing from zero. My lessons are simple, slow, and step-by-step. I never rush or pressure my students. I believe learning music should be joyful, not stressful. I focus on the basics — how to breathe properly, warm up the voice, and sing in tune. I teach simple songs at first, then slowly move to more complex pieces. I explain everything clearly and repeat as many times as needed. No question is ever too small or silly in my class. Students feel relaxed and encouraged in my lessons. I also teach Hindi and regional songs, light classical, devotional music, and folk tunes. I teach in a way that builds a strong foundation and a lifelong love for singing."

About the lesson

With over 8 years of hands-on experience as a vocal coach, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding singers at every stage of their musical journey. My approach to teaching voice combines a deep respect for technical precision with a genuine passion for creativity and self-expression. I believe the voice is the most personal instrument, and each lesson should reflect the individuality of the student. From the outset, I assess vocal habits, range, comfort zones, and posture to design exercises that support vocal efficiency and long-term health. Breath support is introduced through diaphragmatic training, helping singers find balance and stamina.

We work on tone placement, head and chest voice coordination, pitch stability, and articulation—all grounded in an understanding of vocal anatomy and function. I incorporate genre-specific techniques depending on the student's musical goals, whether they're diving into jazz, rock, musical theatre, R&B, or classical repertoire. As students grow more technically secure, I guide them through the expressive side of performance. We explore how intention shapes sound, how dynamics evoke emotion, and how phrasing brings storytelling to life. Students also engage in active listening and interpretation, learning to make smart, creative choices that reflect their artistic identity. I prepare students for a wide range of goals: professional performance, music school auditions, personal growth, or overcoming stage fright. We cover performance preparation in depth—stage presence, setlist design, breath control under pressure, and connecting authentically with an audience. My lessons are structured, yet flexible, and infused with encouragement, clarity, and feedback tailored to each individual. I strive to create a space where students feel seen, supported, and excited about their growth. Above all, my mission is to help each singer become not just better, but braver—confident in their voice, their artistry, and their ability to share their sound with the world.
