About Drisana
Only charging $1 an hour because I am not doing this for money but more so like a service/volunteer work. I am a hardworking student in my junior year of high school. I have a good GPA, over 200 volunteer hours, a competitive swimmer, and am on a path to complete over 10 AP courses by my senior year. I have taken many STEM classes in my academic career such as Biology, Biotechnology, Forensic science, Calculus, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Biology, Chemistry, and Microbiology. I love math and science and hope to pursue a career in a related field. Tutoring helps me relive these passions for classes I took in the past.

I am willing to tutor students in 10th grade and below, as I can only tutor up until calculus (included). I can also teach several sciences such as biology, forensic sciences, physics C mechanics, biotechnology, and genetic studies. My understanding of mathematics (and science) concepts makes me a solid teacher. I will be able to guide you through your curriculum and help you understand concepts in depth. My style of teaching calls for my students to first, understand the problem they are tackling so that they can do not just that problem WITH my help, but tackle similar problems in the future WITHOUT my help. A typical session with me would begin with my student first presenting to me what they do not understand from school. I will clear these misconceptions and continue our session by teaching ahead in the curriculum to my student to ensure they are ahead in class. Being ahead allows them more time to process and understand concepts with me and at school.
