About Lee Alexia
My name is Lee Alexia, and I’m a qualified tutor with a PGCE and a strong academic background in the science, psychology, and criminology. I’ve been tutoring Math and Science for several years, working with learners from Grade 1 to 12 across different learning styles and abilities. I take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, explore new ideas, and build real understanding. I’ve worked with many neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD and on the autism spectrum, and I always adapt my approach to meet each learner’s unique needs. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and structured. I aim not just to help students improve their marks, but to help them enjoy the learning process and develop confidence in their abilities. I believe that with the right support, every student can thrive. I’m based in Johannesburg and passionate about education, mentorship, and making tricky subjects feel doable. I offer Math and Science lessons that are clear, calm, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I’ve worked with learners from Grade 1 to 12, including those who are neurodivergent (such as learners with ADHD or on the autism spectrum), and I’m passionate about helping each student feel confident and capable in subjects that can often feel overwhelming. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and curiosity-driven. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and using real-life examples to make lessons relatable and engaging. I believe in building a strong foundation before tackling more advanced work and always adapt my methods to suit the student’s learning style—whether they thrive with visuals, repetition, hands-on practice, or discussion. My lessons are ideal for primary and high school students who need support in Math or Science, whether they’re aiming to catch up, build confidence, or push for top marks. I also work well with students who need a little extra encouragement or a different approach to succeed.
