About Vanessa
Mathematics has always been my favourite subject and I would love to pass on this love to others as well.
I schooled in Singapore before moving to New York City and thrived in the Singapore education system, especially in Mathematics. I enjoyed Mathematics so much that I considered studying Mathematics in university. However, I decided on a more realistic path and majored in Finance.
I have had experience giving tuition in Singapore and hence, would love to continue doing so.

My first lesson will focus on gauging the standard of the student, which will help me to cater future lessons to the individual need of the student. During lessons, I will go through different mathematical methods and focus on ensuring the student understands the method. With Singapore mathematics, practice is key. Hence, there will be practice in every lesson, where the same method is applied in different scenarios. This will ensure the student masters the mathematical method.
I love children and enjoy teaching and hence, will always do my best when teaching. I will also be available all around the clock to answer any queries the students have. What sets me apart would be how personal I am, where I will take time and effort to understand a student as an individual and cater my lessons specifically for the student.
I currently am open to teaching students from grades 1-8.
