About Anabel
I'm a Cuban sociologist living in New Zealand. My passions are traveling, urban photography, and reading good fiction. I have a doctorate in social science, but I'm not the typical scholarly type. I think learning is better grounded in experience, so I keep my classes dynamic and contextual.

I have taught Spanish as a second language for over 7 years. I think languages are skills for life. They help connect with people and open up other worlds and cultures. I shape my lessons around this principle, always grounding them to interesting cultural contexts.
Lessons can be 30, 60 or 90 minutes in length, depending on topic, level and availability. I can work with all levels of proficiency.
