About Jenelle
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Journalism from Howard University, where I developed strong skills in writing, editing, and communication. During my time there, I served as a writer, staff member, and editor for several student publications, including Ukweli: Howard University Undergraduate Research Journal and Cover2Cover Magazine. These experiences allowed me to strengthen my ability to evaluate, structure, and refine written work—skills that directly support my tutoring in essay writing and English composition. I also received the California Seal of Biliteracy, demonstrating my proficiency in Spanish in addition to my expertise in English. I have experience tutoring students in English literature, essay writing, and Spanish language skills. At Howard, I volunteered at the Howard University Middle School of Mathematics & Science, where I assisted middle school students with reading and writing. I also participated in community service programs such as the Howard University Alternative Spring Break, which emphasized mentorship, communication, and adaptability.
