About Dr Tramayne

I am a cultural anthropologist, wellness consultant, Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach, and an entrepreneur. Originally from Chicago, IL, I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where I received a B.A. in anthropology, graduated Summa Cum Laude and became a Phi Beta Kappa member. I hold a M.A. and Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I received grants from the Social Science Research Council and the National Science Foundation to conduct cultural field research in Kenya as well as in the United States. As an adjunct professor, I have taught and developed numerous courses on culture, research methods, and public policy. Inspired by my cultural research as well as my travels to London, Paris, Nice, Italy and Monaco, I developed a natural skin care line and founded AnthroSpa Logic, LLC in 2007 to help people achieve healthier skin without chemicals and preservatives. As CEO of AnthroSpa Logic, I relied on my background in anthropology to develop plant-based, clean beauty products that combine natural ingredients used medicinally and in beauty treatments around the world for centuries. The effective product line has been tested, used and approved by professional estheticians. Expanding on my goals to promote healthier skin, I became a Mayo Clinic certified wellness coach and consultant to help more people improve their overall health. I empower clients to improve their health, wellness and fitness through individual coaching, courses, and wellness consulting to organizations such as the University of Illinois. To help increase access to wellness resources and inspire healthy lifestyle change in underserved communities, I became the founder and Executive Director of TransformaWell, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing health equity and eliminating health disparities through education, empowerment, outreach and collaboration with local organizations.
