About Rachel
I have a Guitar Performance degree from Berklee College of Music and 9 years of experience teaching guitar to students of all ages using fun, achievement-based methods that keep students motivated. I specialize in making guitar learning enjoyable through positive reinforcement, student choice in music selection, and celebration of every small success. Research shows that students who receive immediate feedback and regular recognition practice 3x more than students in traditional lessons, which is exactly what my reward-based teaching provides. I've helped students perform at school concerts, family gatherings, and local music events. Guitar lessons are designed to make you feel like a rock star from day one! We start with comfortable hand positions and simple chords that let you play real songs quickly - because playing music you love keeps you excited about practicing. I demonstrate everything clearly, then we practice together, and finally you get to perform while I record your progress! You earn "Guitar Hero" points for learning new chords, mastering songs, and showing improvement. Lessons focus on the music YOU want to play - pop, rock, country, folk, or any style that makes you happy. We set fun weekly challenges and celebrate every achievement with special recognition. You get access to my exclusive guitar tab library, bonus practice tracks, and can even record performance videos to share your progress with friends and family!.
