About Jamie

Hi! I'm Jamie and I'm currently based in Australia having completed my Master's degree in the last couple of years. In my spare time, I'm a huge football fan and love Manchester United (sorry!) I'm also very active and spend most of my time in the gym or going to the local climbing centre. My main goal is to get the best out of my students, and I take a real sense of pride in them if I can see the progress first hand as I'm tutoring them as I want them to be successful just as much as they want to achieve the best they can!

About the lesson

I've been a tutor for several years now, therefore I've got good experience working on the content covered in both GCSE and A level maths. Given I only finished my higher education a few years ago, I know what helped/didn't help me when I was trying to learn Maths and other subjects - I also know students learn in different ways so I'll always try to tailor my sessions to suit your needs! I usually try to make my questions and examples more relevant and interesting to whoever I'm tutoring such as applying them to day to day life and the students' interests and hobbies such as sport or music etc. Learning should obviously be fun, as well as not being stressful so I make sure I take the time to cater to the needs of a student by working at their pace and not moving on until they fully understand a certain concept.
