About James
I am a data scientist working for Deloitte in London. My role has covered a variety of analytics, automation, and development work in both SQL and Python. Prior to this I worked as a data scientist for PRGX Global developing intelligent audit automation tools using Natural Language Processing (NLP) with Python and Tensorflow.
I graduated with BSc (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering (2.1) and MSc (Hons) Advanced Engineering (Distinction) degrees. My Master thesis explored the use of NLP in document classiification for financial audits using Keras and Tensorflow, this was sponsored by PRGX Global (a global leader in recovery audit and spend analytics services).
I am also a data science/machine learning writer for Towards Data Science on Medium.

Dependant on the student I will either cover the absolute basics through examples and introduce slightly more advanced concepts as we progress.
We will develop your skill-set further through tailored projects. Each project we work on will cover the key skills that you want to learn. We will go through the theory before quickly applying this in these projects.
Exposure is key in the job market and so we will work on publishing your projects on GitHub, building your professional portfolio.
