About Rhea

With over a four years of teaching experience and a MSc in Nuclear Physics, I bring a unique, interdisciplinary approach to learning Physics. My lessons weave together core physics principles with geophysics and earth sciences, helping students see how physics explains the forces shaping our planet. From plate tectonics to seismic waves, I show how theoretical concepts translate into real-world phenomena. I often use data analysis and modelling to teach earth’s structure, atmospheric dynamics, and geological processes. This method allows students to move beyond memorisation and interact with physics as a living, evolving science. I believe that when students work with actual data and simulations, they gain a deeper and more lasting understanding. My experience extends to guiding environmental science students and those pursuing planetary science, helping them connect physics to global and extraterrestrial systems. Lessons are tailored to show how physics drives climate patterns, natural disasters, and even the search for habitable planets. Whether it’s understanding the physics of earthquakes or the motion of weather systems, I ensure students see the big picture. My goal is to create not just problem-solvers, but curious thinkers who recognise the power of physics in shaping our future. By the end of our sessions, you’ll grow into a well-rounded, confident physicist—with valuable insight into the dynamic Earth we all call home.

My teaching approach to Physics is relaxed but highly application-focused, designed to make every concept feel relevant to real-life engineering challenges. I believe Physics is not just theory; it is the foundation for innovation in fields like materials science, fluid dynamics, and the statics and dynamics of structures. By linking lessons to real-world engineering problems, students see how abstract principles directly shape bridges, machines, and cutting-edge designs. Each session blends clear explanations with problem-solving exercises that mirror situations faced by engineers. Complex ideas like thermodynamics or electromagnetism are broken into manageable steps, making it easier for students to grasp and apply. I use examples from construction, aviation, and product design to make lessons engaging and practical. My experience as both a physics teacher and someone skilled in computational physics allows me to guide students through both theory and application. I emphasise how to use physics in simulations, experiments, and digital models for real design work. Students receive support not only in mastering concepts but also in applying them confidently to exams, assignments, and projects. I encourage them to think critically, test solutions, and build their own problem-solving mindset. This approach helps students excel while understanding how physics fuels progress in engineering. My goal is simple—make physics meaningful, practical, and an essential tool for every future engineer’s success.
