About Vivian
As your coding tutor, I bring a motivational and encouraging approach to our sessions. I believe in uplifting and inspiring my students, instilling in them the confidence and determination to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. In my coding sessions, I prioritize structured and organized learning, ensuring that students have a clear roadmap to follow throughout our sessions. By establishing a well-defined outline at the beginning of each session, students can easily track their progress and maintain focus on the material being covered. I firmly believe that a structured approach fosters a more effective learning environment, allowing students to absorb complex concepts with greater ease.
To provide a deeper understanding of coding principles, I integrate real-life examples and case studies into my teaching methodology. By demonstrating how coding concepts are applied in practical scenarios, students gain valuable insights into the relevance and applicability of what they are learning. Whether we're building a website or developing a mobile application, these real-world connections enhance comprehension and retention of the material.
In my coding sessions, students can expect to cover a wide range of topics essential for mastering Java and JavaScript. These topics include but are not limited to: an introduction to Java, variables and data types, control flow statements, object-oriented programming, arrays and collections, exception handling, introduction to JavaScript, functions and scope, DOM manipulation, and asynchronous JavaScript. Each topic is explored in depth, with ample opportunities for students to engage, ask questions, and seek clarification.
Throughout our sessions, I prioritize active participation and interaction, creating an environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and ideas. By fostering engagement, I aim to develop critical thinking skills and encourage students to explore coding concepts beyond the confines of our sessions.
