About Sierra
I am a singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice in vocal performance. My teaching focuses on a holistic approach that combines physical alignment, breath awareness, and vocal expression. I believe the body and mind are essential partners in creating a free and resonant voice. I often incorporate yoga-inspired vocal warmups, body mapping, and tension release techniques to help students sing with ease and comfort. These practices not only improve technique but also enhance overall awareness and relaxation. I guide learners in exploring their unique sound while maintaining healthy vocal habits. I have a deep passion for genres like World Music, Chanting, Folk Fusion, and Healing Sound, and I encourage students to discover new textures and styles in their voice. Lessons are designed to balance technical development with creative exploration. I help singers connect emotionally to the music while fostering confidence and expressive freedom. For me, the voice is not just an instrument—it’s a tool for well-being and self-expression. I aim to create a supportive space where students can grow, experiment, and find joy in every note. Together, we explore the voice as a path to both artistic and personal freedom.

My teaching approach to singing focuses on building both technical skill and expressive artistry. I emphasize proper posture alignment, helping students support their voice with ease and avoid strain. Clear diction shaping is a key part of my lessons, ensuring that every word is understandable and expressive.
I guide students in choral blend, helping them listen closely and harmonize with others while maintaining their own tone. Musical interpretation is another focus, as I encourage singers to connect emotionally with the music and bring each phrase to life. I work closely with learners who perform in small groups or ensembles, helping them refine balance, phrasing, and cohesion.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style, providing both challenge and support. I also integrate exercises that build breath control, pitch accuracy, and dynamic range. Every session includes practical strategies for performing confidently and blending seamlessly in group settings.
My goal is to help singers grow technically, musically, and expressively. I create a positive, encouraging space where students feel comfortable experimenting and improving. Above all, I want learners to feel confident in their voice and proud of their progress.
