About Keane
I’m a singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialise in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My lessons are designed to create a low-pressure, encouraging space where you can explore your voice without fear. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, and posture to help you sing freely and healthily. Mindfulness in music is also important to me—it helps you connect deeply with your voice and the songs you love. I guide tone development to bring out your unique sound. I teach a variety of styles including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. Singing is more than just technique; it’s a way to practise self-care, spark creativity, and build confidence. No matter your age or experience, I’m here to help you start or restart your singing journey with joy and patience. Let’s make your voice shine!

My singing lessons are designed to support both The Soloist in Training and The Adult Beginner with a clear and encouraging approach. I focus on pitch perfection, expressiveness, and building confidence, helping each student find their unique voice. We begin with tailored warm-ups that improve vocal control and prepare the voice for singing. Exploring different song styles—such as pop, jazz, folk, and ballads—helps develop versatility and deepens musical understanding. For soloists, I emphasise performance skills and emotional connection. Adult beginners start with simple, enjoyable songs to build a strong foundation and comfort with their voice. Musicality is a key focus in every lesson, with attention to phrasing, dynamics, and tone. I integrate modern tools like recording software so students can hear their progress. Ear training apps help improve pitch accuracy and listening skills. Pitch correction tools are used as learning aids, building awareness rather than dependence. Lessons are personalised to suit individual learning styles and goals. The goal is to help students sing with joy, confidence, and clear expression. Singing becomes not just a skill but a way to connect deeply with music and oneself.
