About Jayne

For eight years, I have been teaching singing to students ranging from young beginners to college-age performers. Singing is more than just a skill; it’s a form of self-expression that can boost confidence and creativity. My lessons focus on building strong vocal technique, including breathing exercises, pitch control, tone quality, and vocal health. I also teach students how to perform with emotion and connect with their audience. Every lesson is tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals. I have helped many students prepare for school shows, competitions, and exams. Some have won awards, others have recorded songs, and all have grown in confidence. Seeing this transformation is the most rewarding part of my work. My teaching style is supportive, patient, and personalized. I create a positive environment where students feel safe to experiment and develop their voices. Whether you want to sing for fun or pursue professional opportunities, I will support you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I believe that every student has a unique voice and story to tell. My teaching method uses real-life examples and case studies to connect lessons to real music experiences. This helps students understand how to apply singing skills beyond the lesson room—in concerts, auditions, and everyday performances.

Motivation is central to my teaching. I help students set achievable goals and celebrate progress, which builds their confidence and keeps them motivated. I provide constant encouragement and support. Collaboration is essential in singing, so I include group activities and duet sessions where students learn to listen, harmonize, and perform together. This creates a fun and supportive environment for learning.

Creativity is encouraged by exploring various musical styles, improvising melodies, and writing songs. This helps students discover their own artistic voice. A problem-solving approach helps students overcome vocal challenges. By identifying problems like breath support or pitch issues, I provide focused exercises to improve these areas step by step.

I also teach music theory, ear training, and stage skills to offer a complete learning experience.
