About Renée
I graduated from Cambridge in 2022, where I received a BAhons in Human, Social and Political Sciences. Here, I wrote two dissertations and many short and long form essays, with a consistent average grading of a 1st. I am currently studying for my Master's degree at the Royal College of Art in Writing and do tutoring on the side of this. I also successfully applied to other top universities, such as UAL, where I was offered a scholarship to study Journalism. In terms of my A levels, I achieved full UMS in all of my A level Psychology exams and an A*, A in Sociology and English Literature respectively. I delivered award-winning research at Cardiff University, based on the transition from secondary school to college (2019). I also received a fully funded place on Bath University's Social Sciences Course (2018), which enabled me to have access to their excellent research facilities, workshops and lectures from experts in the field. I also have extensive creative writing experience, successfully submitting my original writing, to over 10 magazines. I have also been featured as an upcoming writer by Quake Digital, and have been commended by Varsity Magazine. I recently won the Creative Future Award for my writing, as part of the London Literature Festival. Previously, I have tutored pupils of all levels from KS2 to University level, and hold an enhanced DBS check. Most importantly, I love tutoring and it is more than just a job to me! I am really passionate about making education accessible for all, and put a lot of effort into my lessons to ensure this.

My aim with my lessons is to always put you, the student, first and foremost. This involves working around my tutees' schedule, and being highly flexible with dates, times and rates. Due to this, I initially offer a 30-minute free consultation session to ensure we figure out a programme that centres your specific needs. Each session is designed just for you, based on your goals and aims to be engaging and interesting. My tutoring is discussion-based and focuses on ironing out confusing concepts as well as approaching work set together. As well as tutoring I can offer help with proofreading, creative writing, admissions assistance and more! Whatever your requirements we can find a working initiative together - don't be afraid to message me to get started.

Perfect! Really personable, excellent at constructive criticism and super helpful
Perfect! Renée took me on as a student so quickly and has really helped me improve my exam technique for my Psychology A level in a short space of time. She also helped me build my confidence leading up to the exam by ensuring I understood each question's assessment objectives, and by answering plenty of practise questions and marking mock exams. Renée really helped deepen my understanding of the subject - I highly recommend Renée!
Perfect! I contacted Renee to help my daughter in the run up to her A levels and she has been fantastic. She's helpful and well organised, she plans and sets out her lessons well and is a great communicator. She has also been flexible with lesson arrangements if needed which has been much appreciated. She's really boosted my daughter's confidence and helped her with exam answering techniques which is showing in the improvement in her grades. I can't recommend Renee highly enough.

Renée helped me a lot with my a levels. She was very clear and helped a lot with essay plans and structures.
Nay was an amazing tutor for my sociology a-level and she helped me so much with my personal statement, can’t recommend enough
I am a friend who met Renée at university. I also tutor, and therefore we have extensively discussed our approaches to teaching together. Renée is highly knowledgable, demonstrated by her excellent results in sociology at a degree level. She is also an experienced tutor, who has a personalised approach to teaching that means she will adapt each lesson to the needs of the student, rather than repeating standardised lesson plans. I would recommend Renée as a tutor to anyone who is struggling with learning only in the classroom, as she will supplement this with more personalised lessons focused on the specific areas you struggle in.
I would absolutely recommend Renée as a tutor, she went through everything I would need to pass English A-Level with me. In the end I managed to get an A* even though I’d been on Bs for most of the year. Highly recommend- very patient and calm.
I couldn’t recommend Renee enough , I had missed a few months of college and was falling behind majorly in my sociology a level . She was incredibly understanding of my situation and made sure I never left confused / needing to ask more questions . I not only achieved what I needed to to get into university , but 2 grades above that which is all thanks to the sessions I did with her :) also I have never had a tutor that is so thorough with their explanations so if you are struggling to understand in class I would really recommend her
Renee tutored me through my A level Psychology and Sociology coursework and after a few sessions improved my grade substantially! She is a great tutor and very passionate about the subjects she teaches - I highly recommend.
