About Violet
With over 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology, I specialise in piano and composition for media. My focus is on film, television, and video game scoring. Lessons are engaging, fun, and personalised for every student, from school learners to professionals. I teach melodic writing, orchestration, sound design using synthesisers, and digital audio workstation (DAW) workflow. My students learn to combine technical skill with creative expression. I have guided learners from Intermediate to Advanced levels, including Professional/Expert students. Each session emphasises practical skills for composing cinematic music. Students gain confidence in performing, composing, and arranging. I also focus on connecting musical ideas to narrative and emotion. My teaching style encourages experimentation while strengthening core piano techniques. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s goals. The Composer and The Digital Producer receive specialised guidance for creative and practical applications. Each session emphasises connecting listening with playing. Students strengthen their understanding of harmony, melody, and rhythm. I teach techniques that build confidence and independence in music. Lessons are interactive and structured for both skill and creativity. I aim to make ear training fun and effective. Students gain a deeper connection to music and improve overall musicianship.
