About Sue

Hello everyone! First of all, thank you for your interest in the Korean language I'm a native Korean speaker currently on a working holiday in Melbourne (It's super cold these days) I majored in geography education in Korea and have a teaching certificate to work with students. I have over 60 hours of volunteer experience teaching and supporting students who need extra help and care. As someone who’s studied English, I totally understand that learning a new language isn’t always easy or fun! My goal is to create enjoyable lessons that keep you motivated to keep learning Korean consistently.

About the lesson

I believe that repetition is the most important factor when learning anything. However, I also understand how challenging it is to study consistently on your own will. Therefore, in my lessons, I make sure to review what was learned in the previous class at the beginning and revisit the material covered in the current lesson towards the end. This way, sufficient repetition happens naturally during class time.

For beginners, lessons start with learning Korean consonants and vowels. Once you get familiar with the letters and their sounds, you will be able to read Korean words—even if you don’t know their meaning yet. Since each Korean letter corresponds to only one sound, once you master the alphabet, reading becomes straightforward!

Intermediate learners focus on memorizing vocabulary and expressions together. At this stage, I provide study materials and quizzes to keep students motivated and consistent in their learning.

Advanced learners who can hold conversations will practice speaking on topics of their choice. We study expressions related to those topics and learn how to make sentences sound more natural. Corrected sentences are organized and provided after class for further review.

For those preparing for the TOPIK exam, we select a suitable textbook together and follow its structure throughout the lessons.

I look forward to working with motivated students who value efficient and meaningful learning, and together, we can enjoy the journey of growth!
