About Lilly

There is something deeply human about singing—it bypasses thought and connects us to emotion, memory, and meaning. That’s what inspires my work as a vocal coach. For the past 5 years, I’ve helped students become more than just better singers—I’ve helped them become bolder, more expressive, and more self-assured artists.

I teach students of all backgrounds, from complete beginners to experienced performers, and every lesson is centered on the individual’s unique vocal needs and artistic goals. We begin by building a technically sound foundation: breath control, resonance placement, range development, and pitch alignment. From there, we apply these skills to real-world performance through song interpretation, genre styling, and expression coaching.

Students explore a wide range of material, including contemporary pop, indie acoustic, soul, Broadway, and their own original compositions. Lessons often include creative projects like “emotion through phrasing” exercises or “genre fusion” assignments where students reinterpret familiar songs in new styles. I use warm-up libraries, video feedback, and performance analysis tools to enhance learning and make practice more efficient and enjoyable. I’m also deeply invested in vocal health.

We work on healthy speaking habits, recovery strategies after performances, and how to avoid strain during rehearsals. Students preparing for auditions or showcases receive extra support in vocal pacing, stage presence, and mental readiness. My studio is a place where students feel seen, supported, and empowered. I believe in building a voice from the inside out—starting with connection, layering on skill, and arriving at confidence. Whether you’re stepping onto a stage or just learning to love the sound of your own voice, I’m here to help you bring out the best in yourself.

About the lesson

Singing is a multifaceted discipline that harmonizes vocal technique, emotional storytelling, and cultural heritage to create authentic and moving musical experiences. My teaching philosophy emphasizes Foundation, Imagination, Diversity, and Growth. Foundation involves building a solid technical base encompassing breath control, vocal fold coordination, resonance tuning, and pitch accuracy to promote vocal health and stylistic flexibility.

I guide students to develop mindful body awareness and breath support that enable expressive freedom without strain. Imagination inspires artistic discovery; I encourage experimentation with phrasing, dynamics, and emotional interpretation through creative exercises like improvisation, storytelling, and character development, allowing each student to cultivate their unique voice.

Diversity is a core value, reflected in the wide range of musical styles and cultural traditions I integrate into lessons, which fosters respect for global musical legacies and enriches students’ stylistic versatility. Growth is supported through tailored goal-setting, structured practice routines, and constructive, reflective feedback that sustain motivation and artistic progression. I nurture a positive, inclusive environment where technical mastery, creativity, and cultural appreciation converge to empower singers to express themselves confidently and authentically.
